The wives of APC have started expressing their frustration over President Buhari's administration. As the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) reverberates from the shock of President Muhammadu Buhari’s wife, Aisha, warning, in a BBC interview last week, that she may not vote for her husband in 2019 if things continue the way they are going now without any major changes, another APC wife has dropped another shocking statement.
Senator Remi Tinubu, representing Lagos Central and the wife of former Lagos State governor and APC kingpin, Bola Tinubu, confided in an APC source that she warned her husband before he went into an alliance with Buhari about two years ago that he would be betrayed by the same Buhari.

This has been hard for Mrs Buhari and Tinubu to take, considering they feel that they were the ones that worked for Buhari’s victory. This bitter resentment is shared with Tinubu’s wife and she couldn’t resist telling the confidante that she predicted all this before her husband went into a marriage of convenience with Buhari, but he failed to heed her warning.
Tinubu, helped make Buhari electable, after he lost three presidential elections and contributed to Buhari’s victory at the fourth time of asking last year. But since the APC came into power, Tinubu has become “marginalised” in the words of the APC source. The president hardly ever listens to Tinubu’s counsel, while the presidential “kitchen cabinet” led by Mamman Daura, has ensured that Tinubu’s nominees have been locked out of many key appointments.
Mrs Buhari touched on the control Daura, Buhari's cousin has over her husband in appointments in her BBC interview and it appears she is now on the same side as Tinubu – on the outside looking in, while Daura, Abba Kyari, the president’s Chief of Staff, and a handful of others run the show.
